History

Evergreen Chalet was established as a residential care for the elderly/assisted living in 1990 by Linda Grangetto, an experienced nurse and Larry Grangetto, a pharmacist. They operated it successfully until 2000, when they sold it to the present owners, George and Miriam Mozes.

George and Miriam continued the tradition of excellent care established by Linda and Larry and made a number of improvements both in the physical plant as well as the organizational culture. They established a new mission for Evergreen Chalet: to become the best middle-sized assisted living facility in North County and to serve as a role model for other small and middle-sized facilities.

Today, after a successful decade in business, we are confident that we are true to our mission. We have a great reputation, we are much appreciated by past and present residents and families, and have been able to introduce a number of innovations that could serve as a model for other assisted living facilities.
