Evergreen Chalet is proud to have one of the best caregivers in the industry. We take our role very seriously and firmly believe in our mission: to provide the best care in San Diego ’s North County . Our staff is well trained and dedicated to the goal of creating a secure, caring and dignified environment for our residents.
Each staff member undergoes extensive on-the-job training at the time of hire and is required to participate in periodic continuing education and training activities. The administration of Evergreen Chalet is convinced that the success and good name of the facility depends entirely on the quality of its staff. So we place a special emphasis on staff development and on keeping our staff happy.
We have a very generous staff-to-resident ratio: one staff to four residents. A minimum of two caregivers and one administrator are present any time from 7:00AM to 11:00PM. One caregiver is on duty, awake, from 11:00PM to 7:00AM.

George Mozes is a retired educator. He holds a Masters Degree in Library Sciences and a Doctorate in Education. He has 25 years of experience working in a large medical center in Chicago ( Michael Reese Medical Center ) and 10 years working as Director of Library and Educational Television at Palomar College in San Marcos , CA. He has put his teaching expertise and experience to a good use: continuously developing our caregivers’ knowledge and skills and instilling in them the love and respect that our elderly so richly deserve. George also serves as co-administrator, in charge with the physical plant and interacting with the residents at least 2-3 hours daily.

Miriam Mozes worked as a pharmacy technician for 25 years at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago and 9 years at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Diego . She also taught, for short time, at Edutek, training future pharmacy technicians. Her knowledge of medications, her skill in interacting with physicians and nurses, and her teaching skills have been very beneficial to all who come in contact with her. Miriam also serves as co-administrator, shopping for food and supplies, and interacting with the residents at least 3-4 hours daily.

Fe England is Evergreen Chalet’s full-time, professional administrator. Fe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Management and has valuable experience both as administrator as well as owner (partner) of and assisted living facility and a retail store. For Fe caregiving is not a job, it is a passion.
