We hope that you have had a chance to learn about ways to evaluate assisted living facilities. If not, perhaps you should do some “legwork” as soon as possible.  There are many guides that help you evaluate a facility. Once you have decided on what it is most important for you or your loved one, it will be easier to find a good match between your needs and desires and what the facility has to offer.

So here are the few things that we believe set us apart from most, if not all, other assisted living facilities:

1. Caregiving is what we do best and it is our major concern. Everything else is secondary. We have very well trained and loyal caregivers and the best caregiver to resident ratio (1 to 4). We treat our residents like family; and we mean this in the old European tradition of family values and close ties, where the elderly are loved and respected.
2. Our care is highly individualized. Many of our residents do not respond well to group activities, so we provide individualized activities for them.
3. We have only one monthly rate: $3,250.00 that includes everything. The only additional charge is $250.00 for incontinency (if needed), and $250.00 for hospice (if needed).
4. This monthly rate is the same regardless of the room you live in.
5. This monthly rate does not change regardless of the level of care you need now or in the future. This means the rate stays the same even if the resident needs total care, i.e. help with all activities of daily living.
6. We guarantee that there will not be a rate increase for at least one year. Our rate increases are only cost of living increases and are never more than 5%.  In some instances residents go for two or even three years without a cost of living rate increase.
7. Our home is nestled on a hillside amid great estates, rolling hills and orange and avocado orchards. We have 2.7 acres and 35 citrus trees. We have a wrap-around deck with plenty seating and space for walks. The views are gorgeous. For someone who enjoys the outdoors with fresh air and stunning sunsets, this is an ideal place.
